HINTS FOR SILVER GAME
These are ordered from 1-4 and spaced out, so scroll downwards to find the hint you need.
Brooks Memorial Library : Go to Brooks Memorial Library in Brattleboro. Find a book based on this call number 333.85632 KUR Then look at the page and word number for the below sets of numbers. The numbers 203:56 would mean page 203, word number 56, or the 56th full word on the page. The words strung together make a phrase. If you can not find the next location that the phrase describes, ask a librarian. A woman named Star is your best help.

2. BACKPACK on BIKE RACK: You should have decoded the words in the library book to be able to discover the backpack hidden on the bike rack in the rear of the building. This backpack is locked and the code is from the name of the book, with a slight alteration. Look at the image attached to the bike lock to understand the alteration to the 4 letter word. Take this backpack with you. The next destination is indicated on it somewhere. See the map in one of the front pockets.
3. HARMONYVILLE MARKET: The next clue is hidden at the Harmonyville Market towards Townshend. Notice the little tag that says Harmonyville Market on the backpack. On the back it says, “Bulletin Board.” That is where to look at the market. You will find a sign that is customized to you. If you cannot find it, I put an extra one behind the counter in the store. Read each sign and see if any stand out for you. There are several subtle clues within.
4. SCOTT BRIDGE (part one): This is a covered bridge just downstream of the Townshend Dam. You will see another tag on the backpack that relates to something you find at Scott Bridge. It is a tag that shows a sign that reads, “Year minus length.” This relates to a sign of the same shape that is found right at the opening of Scott Bridge. This calculation will be the code to open another pocket in the backpack. Inside is your next clue.
5. SCOTT BRIDGE (part 2): Inside the pocket of the backpack with the tag that looks like the Scott Bridge sign there is a locked wooden box. Take this out and observe all sides of the box. One one side you will see a diagram. This diagram relates to the windows on the inside of the bridge. There is a clue that relates to the side of the bridge as well. Keep in mind that the dam is upstream of the bridge. Count the windows and look hard to find the hidden key. Bring this with you please but take care not to drop it.
6. COLOR GAME: Open the box. It is a box of little jars, some of which have some powder inside. Add a little water to each jar. (You may notice that I changed the word “half” to “part” way in terms of how much water.) You’ll see a code card on the inside with which you can figure out the order of the letters to create a message. Match the position of the symbol to the position on the bottle that creates the color you see on the card. Notice the stickers inside the box. It takes you to your next location.
7. WEST RIVER MARKET: Using the phrase you decoded with the color game, go and do just that at the Winhall Market. Look for something a little out of the ordinary in the section you are looking for. Once you find it, open it up and you will have the next piece of information you need.
8. FINAL POCKET: Using the key you found in the can of beans. Open up the final pocket in the backpack. You won!
