HELP!

The key to this game is to figure out the name of the city to which you need to bring the case.

In order to do this, you must first figure out the locations in each of the Polaroid pictures. The magnifying glass signifies that you need to look at each one closely. In each photo there are clues that can help you identify the city or town in which the shot was taken. Look for flags, signs, newspapers, language, landmarks, symbols, people, and anything that seems particular to a place. Google-ing is most certainly allowed and expected. Don’t bother with reverse image searches of the whole Polaroid as that won’t bring you great success, but there is nothing stopping you from researching business names or general imagery that you see. Act like an investigator and really look deeply at each photo. (Technical Note: If you are having difficulty zooming in, try opening the images in a separate tab. If all else fails, save or take a screen shot to get the best look.)

After you have identified some or all of the cities and towns featured in the Polaroids, you should take another look. There are two sets of codes that need cracking. One will lead you to determine the destination city. If you figure this out, consider yourself successful. You’ll be able to get the case to the city your guest is going to, at least. That’s definitely helpful.

EXTRA CREDIT (for the very good concierge)

If you have successfully figured out the destination city, you might want to narrow in on a street address. After all, the guest has asked for you to bring the case to “his interpreter.” That seems specific.

In order to do this, you will need to identify the name of the business first. It is a translation and interpretation business in the city you have already identified. That you can infer from what the guest has already said. A business card is provided, but it is cryptic. Does the business card offer a name or is it a suggestion of a name? You may need to start looking to the other set of codes and start thinking like a local, perhaps even speaking like one. Remember some of the symbols you see will be helpful. Some will not.

EXTRA, EXTRA CREDIT (for the truly ultimate concierge)

After you have secured the business name, you will still need to do some more sleuthing. Where would you find the business listing if you knew its name and the place? Is there a clue in the contents of the case? In short, yes.

You may be asking, what is “Ker.” and “U.”? How do you find the Post Code? This is the advanced part of the game, so I am not going to give too much away. I will say that you need to really think like a concierge for the last part. How WOULD you figure this out if you were in charge and planning on going to a foreign place? You’d probably have to do some research. No worries, if you have gotten this far, it is further than most.

Good luck.
